GREE New Energy is an integrated operator with a focus on biogas-to-energy. It develops, finances, builds, and operates biogas-to-energy projects. GREE provides international project development experience and financial capabilities together with local market understanding. Hamparan, its first project is one of the largest grid-connected biogas-to-energy projects in Indonesia. With a portfolio of over 1.000 MW, GREE plans to expand its business and its positive impacts on the people and the environment.
GREE focusses on the agro-industrial sector. Most of the potential partners come from tapioca starch, palm oil, brewery, ethanol production, animal farming or fruit processing industry.
Lorinet Foundation supports GREE (2022 – Ongoing) in the development of new biogas facilities while reaching the completion of its first biogas project, the Hamparan biogas facility. The Hamparan Project is a partnership between GREE and a large tapioca starch manufacturer in Central Lampung, Sumatra, Indonesia. The project treats the wastewater of a food factory producing tapioca flour to generate biogas. The biogas will be purified and valorised as electricity.
